Mini Bow Saw

I have finished my Mini-Bow-Saw. I made it from maple and scaled it to take a 6.5" coping saw blade. it works well. the tension bar and flexible tenons allow the blade to be brought to a nice tension. Not sure how much use it will get but it was good fun making it!

  1. Where did you get the hardware to hold the blade? Did you make it?

    1. Hi Peter - the two pieces of brass to hold the blade where cut from 3/16" brass rod. Each piece had a 3/8" slot cut into the bar with fine hacksaw then a very small hole was drilled through at a right angle with a Dremel type drill. The pin in the blade was pulled out then passed through the hole and saw blade together. The brass rods were epoxy glued into the wooden handles. hope this helps - all the best Barry
